All vehicle wraps are vehicle graphics, but not all vehicle graphics are wraps. Vehicle graphics encompass all the self-adhesive
vinyl elements used in putting visual images and text on a
vehicle.
The most basic vehicle graphics are cut letters and stripes.
(Top 2 at right). Produced by computerized digital vinyl cutting machines (called plotters), vinyl cut letters, shapes and
stripes have been popular since the 1970's and still
represent the largest portion of the vehicle
graphics marketplace.
The DOT number on commercial trucks,
the name on the landscapers pickup truck,
the racing stripes on the Mustang GT and the
pinstripping on the family sedan are all examples of
cut vinyl self-adhesive vehicle graphics.
The introduction of new materials
and technology has expanded
the elements to include
photo quality large format
prints and complex and
very intricate geometric
designs. These new print
technolgies when married to today's
sophisticated plotters allow us to create
customized designs using combinations
of both cut vinyl and print cut vinyl
with unlimited design capability.
